Implementing Innovations in Digital Engagement

9:15 - 10:30am

Kathryn Peters of Democracy Works, Perry Rosenstein of Hustle, Brad Schenck of Vote.org, and Jesse Thomas of Crowdpac will present their stories of identifying and solving problems through technology, and provide their perspectives on current opportunities and questions for civic innovators. Then, Betsy Hoover will moderate a full group discussion and Q/A.


DESIGNING FOR ENGAGEMENT: PART I - THE VISION

10:30 - 12:30pm

We will break into teams from Day 1 to begin the design process.  A team lead will guide each group through the process of arriving at a common vision.


LUNCH

12:30 - 1:30pm

Chorus will provide a catered lunch at the venue.


BUILDING A TOOL: NARROWING FROM CONCEPT TO REALITY

1:30 - 2:00pm

Jenn Warner from Organizing for Action tells the story of Connect.


DESIGNING FOR ENGAGEMENT: PART II - Narrowing

2:00 - 3:00PM

Every team will have an hour to narrow their vision into a project sketch and/or to build three slides on their idea to present to the full group before we close out the day.

USING TECH TO INSPIRE CIVIC ACTION: IDEA PITCH / SHARE OUT

3:15 - 4:30 pm 

Each team will have 7 minutes to present their idea sketch to the full group and receive feedback. All final sketches will be featured on the CHORUS website, and the idea that gets the most up-votes will be shared and promoted widely with prospective funders and talent. 


WRAP UP AND CLOSE OUT

4:30 - 4:45pm
